About

About the festival

If you love delicious, locally-produced food and brilliant live music, you're in the right place!

Our aim is very simple - to throw a party for the people of Kingsbridge, and visitors to our beautiful town, to celebrate the eclectic mix of incredible tastes and sounds that originate from the area. We hope you enjoy exploring the diverse range of culinary and acoustics treats we have lined up during our three day food and music extravaganza!

There's plenty to keep kids entertained with craft workshops, a kid's disco, face painting and a bouncy castle.

The festival is organised by a small group of volunteers, driven by a desire to unite the local community and showcase the wonderful home-grown food and musical talent we are so lucky to have on our doorstep. It's a non-profit, free festival and that's the way we want to keep it; so please support the food and drinks vendors so that we can keep paying the bands.

THIS PARTY IS FOR YOU! It's our greatest wish that you have fun and enjoy yourselves. Please help us and our stewards by not bringing any glass onto the festival site and by taking care throughout the weekend so that you can come back again next year!

Yours faithfully, the festival committee.

Location

You'll find the Kingsbridge Food & Music Festival on the Town Square in Kingsbridge, TQ7 1PG.

Parking

There is a large car park next to the venue with overflow parking available behind the Leisure Centre and at the top of Fore Street.

Overnight camping

Sadly we do not have the facilities for overnight camping. However, there are various campsites, B&B's and self-catering properties nearby.

Glass policy

Glass is not permitted anywhere on the festival site. Please respect this rule for the good of the festival.

The Team

The festival is organised by a team of local volunteers. Since its inception in 2012, we've been dependent on the generosity and time of a huge bunch of local legends. Over the years, members of the team have come and gone but without all of their input the event wouldn't be what it is today.

Music amplifies everything it touches. It can turn a field into a festival, a bar into a dancefloor and a job into a passion. So it’s important that we stand up for music by protecting those that make it. This event has been supported by the PPL PRS charity and community discount scheme.

PPL PRS licenses the use of copyright music across the UK, giving businesses and organisations the permission they need to play the music they want. The Music Licence ensures that music creators are fairly rewarded with royalties so they can keep making music – and mean that we’re able to support music at events like this. For more information about PPL PRS, visit pplprs.co.uk or call 0800 0720 808.
